Since last weekends Longtail Tuna Chase, the high winds and big swells have prevented us from chasing the tuna that we know are out there just offshore! Very frustrating indeed!

Gavin Platz has guided a few clients at Borumba Dam this week. The dam is full so he wasn’t too sure what to expect.

Julian and Jon are fishing today, so I will put up a report of their captures in the next few days.

The wind and swell have dropped significantly over the past 24 hours, however it will be a 50/50 call as to whether Gavin fishes his clients in the salt for tuna or goes back to Borumba Dam this weekend.

Looking at the forecast, at this stage the weather next week looks great. We still have Wednesday free, so if you were thinking that you would like to get out and chase some Longtails, this is one of only a few days that he has left between now and when he goes to Weipa on 22nd May.
