Fly Tying Class - 3 May 2010 |

Gavin is running a beginners Fly Tying schoool on Monday, 3rd May 2010 from 5:00pm to 7:00pm. This class will be beginner focused but covering not just the bare minimum. You will learn: - the characteristics of the materials you will be using;
- how to select the materials;
- how to choose what tools you need; and
- how to use them properly...
among many other things. The class will run from 5:00pm through to 7:00pm here in the shop, the materials are supplied but please bring your own tools if you have them. If you do not have your own tools they can be purchased on the day or hired for a nominal fee. We will supply tea and coffee. The cost is $30.00 per head, the stories however are free.

To the Tie 'N' Fly crew
Thanks for the fly tying class. I found your instructions easy to follow and I developed a good understanding of the basics and will be able to develop further with practice. Ill shoot you some photos when I tie something flash.
Thanks for the casting and fly fishing lessons over the last 6 months too. I have finally started catching fish (it was getting back in the kayak that did it). Check out this link for some photos (though not good photos) and a trip report.
